Angels Rock House Reviews
Best mescin food and service sometimes abit too busy but when ya got the best it shows. I liky da chicken enchilada platter best but whatvever you like.
Food is fantastic. Service is great. Ambience is OK incredibly fantastic Mexican food restaurant. You can't go wrong here. It took me a while to find it, but once I found it, I was a repeat guest of often. I recommend it to people coming into town. I recommended it to locals as a great local Place it's been here forever. It's one of the OG restaurants that I think was here at the beginning of the town. It was built in. If you haven't been here you're missing out. You're not on your way yet?
Great little Mexican Restaurant just outside of Lakeport in the wine fields. Great food. I got a 2 taco combo and went with carne asada which was a little extra but worth it. Dad got fajitas which he enjoyed. His favorite was actually the beans. Waiter was very friendly and quick. Will definitely be back.
So... my family members that have lived in this area forever have been telling us about Angel's for quite a while now. We finally made it. All 11 of us! A reservation was made well ahead of time and they (the restaurant) suggested the time. We showed up about three minutes early, and they said it would be about five minutes. Fast forward 25 minutes.... Finally we got seated and got water, chips, and salsa. About another 20 minutes pass before our order is taken. Everyone was friendly, but not overly attentive. The food was good. The item that stood out was the chile verde! This was freaking off the hook. I didn't order it, my wife did, and luckily she got too full to finish, so I was able to experience this fantastic product! The restaurant is kept clean, it's pleasantly decorated, and the tables are arranged well. Other than being a little unhappy with the wait, I was not happy to find a 3% extra charge for using a credit card to pay a bill of nearly $300. I didn't have enough cash on hand to pay - but they didn't tell me in advance that there was an extra charge to pay by card so it wouldn't have made a difference. More and more places are doing this. It's really pretty irritating. Anyway, I'm sure we'll be back for that chile verde. I'll just be sure to have plenty of cash on me when I return!
The best restaurant in Lake County to have an authentic Mexican dinner!! The owners are so nice and personable while working at the same time. Their staff are very efficient and so polite. The portions are a very good size so you might want to split an entree with someone. We have always been very satisfied with everything we've ordered.
Enjoyed our authentic Mexican food here. The margaritas were great too! I'm sure we will return.
I tried both the chicken burrito enchilada style and camarones al mojo de ajo (garlic butter shrimp). The portion sizes are generous. Burrito had decent amount of chicken inside, decked out with sides (rice, sauce, lettuce, etc). If ordering a burrito, I highly recommend enchilada style. The shrimp dish could have used some more garlic, the butter/sauce seemed a bit watery and was not sticking to the shrimp. I appreciate the fact that the shrimp tasted fresh and tails were taken off. I forgot to ask for extra salsas on the side, wish I could have tried them. Atmosphere was lively and Angel plus all staff I spoke with were very friendly and welcoming. So far, this is the best restaurant in Lake county I have tried with Mexican cuisine.
My friend's family owns this restaurant and for two years I've heard her go on and on about how incredible the food is. I was finally able to try it and she did not tell a single lie-- the food here is cooked with recipes that come from the heart and soul of her family and you can taste the authenticity with each bite. The portions are HUGE so come on an empty stomach. We tried a ton of food but some of my favorites were the chicken nachos and chile relleno. No matter what you try, it wont disappoint. Plus the service and hospitality that you get at Angel's will make you feel right at home. Definitely make this a stop on your small town tour if you're ever in Lake County

The service is warm and friendly, one is treated like family here and the food, every last item on the menu, is great. The Carne Asada platter is stupendous. The Margaritas cold, frosty, and powerful. The salsa and chips....well that is a meal indeed. Try the place, one will not regret it.
